LAVAL, QC, Sept. 3, 2026 /CNW/ -- Englobe has appointed Peter Crain as Senior Director responsible for the company's National Defence account in Canada. In this role, he will coordinate Englobe's multidisciplinary engineering and technical capabilities in support of defence-infrastructure programs across the country.
Crain is a former senior executive at the Department of National Defence and a decorated Royal Canadian Navy veteran with more than 32 years of service, including commanding HMCS Athabaskan during Canada's response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. He previously served as Director General responsible for real-property portfolio management at National Defence, where his work included infrastructure planning, portfolio analytics, investment management and project development.
"Peter Crain brings a valuable combination of operational, government and infrastructure experience," said Mike Cormier, President of Englobe. "His understanding of defence sector requirements and complex public infrastructure will strengthen how we coordinate our expertise nationally and support clients and partners with practical, multidisciplinary solutions."

Its national platform combines multidisciplinary expertise with teams located near project sites and defence establishments.
"Defence infrastructure must respond to operational requirements while delivering safe and lasting value for the people who use it," said Crain. "I look forward to working with Englobe's teams across Canada to bring together the technical expertise, local knowledge and collaboration needed to support complex defence-infrastructure programs."
